A Therapeutic Journey
Beginning a journey is often difficult when you are not sure what to expect. Considering the stigma surrounding "mental health treatment", I understand that if you are even considering this process, then you have already made many courageous decisions and are well on your way to happiness. Here, I want to tell you what to expect about the treatment process!

The Beginning
"Treatment" usually begins with a general consultation with a qualified health professional about what's troubling you, explores whether or not we may be a good fit to treat your concerns, and concludes with a discussion on your treatment goals and the approaches that may help you achieve them.

The Middle
Since there are many human conditions, there is no definitive timeline on the treatment process. During the "middle" of therapy, you can expect to engage in individual, couples, and/or group sessions, where you can expect to learn more about yourself, explore more about theories and techniques that may help you reach your goals, and discuss both progress and impediments towards your treatment goals.

The End
"Treatment" concludes once we have achieved your overall treatment goals and/or you have maintained a level of functioning that makes you truly happy and improved your overall levels of life satisfaction.
